How the directory works

DIRECTORY

The directory may include entries sourced from public/business directories and/or submitted directly by local businesses. Standard listings may display basic info such as Business Name, Phone, and Category.

Businesses can optionally complete a verification flow to publish additional details (e.g., website, service hours, languages). Verified listings are meant to increase reliability - not to "certify" a business.

  • Free for residents and businesses: browsing and basic listings are free.
  • Free job posts: businesses can post jobs for free; posts expire automatically after 7 days.
  • Async model: no phone calls; support is handled by email and automated flows.
Note: availability of any feature may change as the directory grows. We may add search, filters, and reporting tools over time.

What "Verified" means

VERIFIED

"Verified" means the submitter completed a verification process intended to confirm a real person and confirm at least one method of contact (email and/or phone).

Verification does not mean we audited the business, guaranteed quality, confirmed licensing with any agency, or endorsed any product/service.

  • Verified = contact verification, not legal validation.
  • Any "licensed/insured" claims are self-declared unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • We may remove "Verified" status if activity appears suspicious or inaccurate.
Residents should always confirm pricing, availability, and credentials directly with the business before hiring.

Jobs policy (free, 7-day posts)

JOBS

Job posts are free and expire automatically after 7 days to keep listings current. Businesses can repost at any time.

  • No discriminatory, illegal, or misleading job ads.
  • No requests for sensitive personal data through the listing.
  • We may remove posts that appear fraudulent or unsafe.

Residents should use caution and verify the legitimacy of any opportunity before sharing personal information.

We are not an employer, recruiter, or staffing agency. We only provide a platform for postings.

We aim to collect the minimum information needed to operate the directory, prevent abuse, and verify submissions.

  • Business submissions: contact email/phone used for verification and fraud prevention.
  • Optional fields: address, service hours, website, languages, and other details are optional unless stated.
  • Human checks: we may use anti-bot measures (e.g., CAPTCHA) to reduce spam and fraud.
  • No calls: support is handled via email and automated flows.

We will never ask residents to provide sensitive personal information to browse the directory.

Reporting, disputes, and safety

SAFETY

If you see a listing that looks incorrect, unsafe, misleading, or abusive, report it. We may remove listings, revoke "Verified" status, and block repeat offenders.

  • Community reporting: residents and businesses can report issues.
  • Impersonation: submitting a listing for someone else without permission is prohibited.
  • Competition sabotage: changing or posting false info about competitors is prohibited.

We may require proof of ownership/authority before editing or removing certain business details.

Free directory and separate services

SEPARATE SERVICES

Local Biz Palm Coast is free for residents and businesses. If any separate paid service is ever offered, it must be clearly labeled, optional, and handled separately from the free directory.

  • Directory trust comes first - optional services must never affect free directory access.
  • No-pressure model: businesses can use the free directory without buying anything.
  • Free listings, updates, reports, and job posts do not require payment.
This separation protects residents from confusion and keeps the directory simple and trustworthy.
